The universal mounting boot is used when mounting in the majority of applications including concrete, walls, blocks, piles, etc. The swivel plate (top of picture) is bolted to the coupler at the bottom of the truss and then connected to the mounting boot (bottom of picture) which is fastened to the foundation using the two bolt holes in the bottom of the boot.

When mounting directly onto the ground/pavement without a foundation in place, a steel ground plate (bottom of picture) is required to prevent the universal mounting boot from sinking into the ground/pavement. The universal mounting boot is fastened to the ground plate using the two bolt holes and anchored to the ground as required by site conditions.

For mounting onto a post (widths up to and including 62' (18.8m)) the post mount bracket is used in place of the universal mounting boot. The swivel plate (top of picture) is bolted to the coupler at the bottom of the truss and then connected to the post mount bracket which is bolted to the inside of the post.
